Still feeling sick....damn this sore, raw throat! That's the worst of it to be honest. Can't even drink ice water without it flaring up something fierce.

Hey Puck. Have you seen a physician at all? If it's a stomach flu I'm sure it will pass in time but If you have a nasty strep infection you may want to seek some medical attention. Streptoccocus tend to cause nasty sore throats and it would be wise to seek antibiotics to rid of them if that's what you have.

My concern isn't so much the organism itself but your body creating antibodies that could potentially cross react. Please don't be alarmed, I would simply advise checking in to the cause of the sore throat. Could very well be the vomitting that iritated the lining of the esophagus.
