Once upon a time there were two lovers - let's call them Charles and Derek.
Charles was a very brilliant and passionate man, who loved life and holding deep, meaningful conversations even more. Derek was a bit of a dullard, only capable of one or two sentences of monosyllabic grunts before wiping himself out with mental fatigue. Derek was also a very needy and paranoid git, weeping and wailing and all but accusing poor Charles of cheating on him if Charles so much as stepped outside for a cigarette or had to answer the front door and chat with the neighbor for a few minutes.
Charles would write long, loving poetry for Derek, putting hours upon hours of effort and work into it....while Derek reciprocated by saying something profound like "I like it babe, it is good." Did Charles date a cognizant, adult male in the prime of life, or Lenny from Of Mice and Men?
Poor Charles....he tried so hard to be a good, loving partner....all the while gently suffering through Derek's paranoid accusations of cheating, Derek's simplicity and Derek's childlike demeanor....Charles truly was a saint.
Wasn't that a good story kiddies? God I'm so happy to be alive and well to tell it!
Not the place to tell stories.
