I do a little private teaching now, but ultimately I'd like to compose for the theater. That's why this accompanist job would be really valuable to me. But teaching is certainly easy money, and quite rewarding when you see your student progress and grow as a musician.

I talked to a piano teacher who told me he feels sometimes frustrated because lots of children play the piano cause their parents wanted them to. But evectively, sometimes, it's probably very rewarding.
