I went to vote for the European Union Parliament today.

Conversation with dad:

Dad: Who did you vote for?
Me: Malin Björk.
Dad: Which party?
Me: *The name of the most socialist party in the Swedish national parliament*
Dad: JSDJUDFUEUUWEUWUU WTF ARE YOU A COMMUNIST?
Me: Not at all... do you understand the difference between voting in the national election and for the EU parliament? Do you understand why those two decisions are extremely different?
Dad: UUUUUH communist.
Me: Okay, how about this? Can you name ONE reason why you're even pro-EU. Or one thing the person you voted for wants to achieve?
Dad: No, I'm not gonna have this discussion. You're just gonna argue back like you always do.

TFW my dad's own stupidity has made him think I'm a communist...

Conversation with mom

Me: Who did you vote for?
Mom: *Random name*
Me: Okay. Why?
Mom: *Name of her boyfriend* told me to.

I've made it my life mission to make sure our family's gene-pool DIES with my generation. How do I know I don't carry the same genetical flaw that's turned all my family members into narrow-minded idiots? What if it doesn't appear until my mid 30's or something? D:
