Spent some time with a friend who awoke with a shoulder spasm that led to surgery, and now they may fire him from his job. He spoke with a bankruptcy lawyer this week and learned that most Americans could lose their homes if their medical bills got out of hand.
Clearly, the banks and medical corporations have rewritten bankruptcy laws to favor creditors. This has been a painful eye-opening for me. I can not believe that a person with a house paid in full has greater chance losing it as an asset, than the person with a mortgage where the mortgage holder will work with them.
I told my friend we should look for a crooked lawyer. They are usually a dime a dozen in this country, but right now most are in Washington D. C. at the millionaires club, known to most as the U. S. Congress.
