Surgeries are fun... you will most likely do very well.
I was surprised at how in just a ten year period of having menisci shaved and reshaped they had totally changed the stragedy on dealing with post opt. First time around was on crutches, second time I was walking as soon as I got home - no pain, no ill side effects.
Well that's not wholly true, I do tend to get this crushing weight on my chest post op - my partner holding me down keeping me from running outside to do stuff...
With the transposed ulnar nerve (elbow) the annoying part was the semi-cast they put on to keep my elbow from moving for the first few days. But there was no real pain and little discomfort. Well aside from that crushing weight on top of me.
