Carefully check all of your routers and every single plug. Sometimes a plug comes loose but the router still registered but won't work. Ensure that it is reset.
Make sure that the company that provides your net work just isn't down. I use Shaw - and perhaps once every few months their net work goes down for several hours.
Also make sure that your router is not set to open and is locked, and make sure your laptop is capable of connecting to the internet (I personally would check simply by connecting to an open network and seeing if it works, there are several where I live). If it can't connect to any network the problem is the laptop.
