Grrrrr my brain for some reason got the Charger mixed up with challenger lol.
New cars aren't always the best idea I've found over the years. All got to put up with these stupid little things that go wrong with them.
Was your car under warranty still?
Oh the Challenger? Yeah it was 1 day old, well I bought it new...
I traded it in and got a Prius. No issues so far, but there is a recall over the parking brake, but otherwise no issues so far.
Used cars can be both good and bad. I haven't had too bad of luck with used, but that was a while back and the newer cars all have more electronics to break, so it just depends on how well engineered some of these cars are. The Prius, well my sister has an 07, I had a Prius "c" before I bought the Challenger.
GM is not a whole lot better. I had a Pontiac G3 (Same as an Aveo and some other models). It was alright for about 100,000 miles and did have some issues. At the end I had a wheel bearing starting to fail, transmission was making noise, had to replace the radiator and valve cover gasket leaking oil down the side of the engine...and the timing belt needed to be replaced... Some of it maintenance related I know and then I find out the pulleys for the timing belt were made of plastic and had the habit of breaking which wrecks all your valves and pretty much ends the car.
I suppose they all have their issues of sorts but Dodge definitely had a long long history of sucking at least over here...
Fiat is now part of Chrysler. I think the slogan people here have for Fiat is, "Fix It Again Timmy!"
"I’m not expecting to grow flowers in a desert, but I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime"
