Did anyone realize they were gay later than 20?

Nowadays, it is extremely common for people to realize their sexuality at around your age. Don't worry, it's not "happening so late.". I was in the same boat as you. The only thing was, I was never ever intimate with a woman ever. I actually found out that I was gay when I was 13/14 years old. I kept it hidden for 10+ years and I figured that it was only a phase or a mistake. I wanted to maintain that I was a heterosexual male (sadly back in March of this year, I stated I was straight on another forum... big mistake). Then I noticed some gay tendencies later on. I ignored it and I forgot about my first true crushes back in junior high school.

I was getting signals that I was gay when I was talking to someone who was and I remembered my first true crushes back when I was 13/14 years old. I didn't come to terms with my homosexuality until I was 23 years old. It took me 10 years to finally come to terms with it. I'm still really not getting the hang of my sexuality after a couple of years of finally coming to the definite conclusion that I am gay, I guess that's why I stated that I was a heterosexual on another forum.

The best advice that I can give you is that go with flow and you take it easy with sexuality. It seems like you may actually be bisexual if you enjoyed being intimate with women. However, ultimately up to you to decide what your sexuality is. That's another thing... I remember thinking that maybe I was bi, but my attraction to women was not equal to men and not even a little bit of an attraction towards women.
