Why am I gay?
#21
It's gotta be chemical... Probably something to do with a brain that runs with alittle extra estrogen.
It's a curious thing, though.
Some of these "because your lucky/human/goddess loved/other stupid shit" people are friggin jokes. Your not excessively lucky or human. Bio/physiology is just fascinating...

Oh wow.. What makes me gay?
I think I was born gay, I don't remember waking up differently one day or anything. I remember having the whole internet at my fingertips, at what? Maybe nine or ten -- those silly AOL 3.0 private chat rooms, parental controls (which didn't effect an independently launched Internet Explorer instance), and Furcadia (uhh -- yeah don't ask).

Anyways -- once I discovered teh pr0n -- it was game on. No straight porn for me, I went straight for the dicks, never looked back. I just knew, it was easy.

I've heard all the blah blah blah debates on what makes someone gay. The 'genetics loads the gun, environment pulls the trigger'.. lol, they've even said that same shit about serial recidivism. I dunno if I buy it. I'll admit to being from a broken home and that my grandparents think it's rooted in not having a 'proper father figure around'.
There's that study about lesbians having a different weighted something or other in their ear (WTF?!)
"The more sons a woman has, the more likely the subsequent son will be gay"
"Older Sisters make gay brothers"
"High testosterone in the womb will do it!"
"You must be producing too much estrogen"
"I didn't want to tell you this.. but you're wearing your gay genes today."
On and on and on......
Yuck.
I hope the kind of love I'm capable of having for a man is not a cobbled complexion of all these stupid excuses.
I am gay because.... I dunno. I think it's a more debatable topic than 'Does God Exist', but for me, more unsettling. I just feel compelled to give everything. Proud of it too. Not happy it's often misunderstood.

First off, no matter what feminists say, its god damn difficult to understand most women. And as much as I love my fiance to death, sometimes (unintentionally) she make me miserable, and I never feel like I completely understand her or that she completely understands me. I feel like the gap, no matter what feminists say, is caused by simple biological facts of the difference between genders and how they perceive the world. Seriously, hormone levels of estrogen and testosterone can change your mindset and how you think about things.

When I'm with a guy, there is no guessing what they want. I know and if I don't know all I gotta do is ask (trust me, I have tried "just asking" with women and with the majority of them. It doesn't work for a variety of reasons).

So a man loving a man, or a women loving a women, is a much more simpler and easier kind of like. At least, from my experience with men, that's what it seems like. People who are attracted almost exclusively to the same gender are lucky (in some ways, the social stigma does suck though).

Amen to that, been married twice. No offence, but women can be crazy (oh man, the mood swings... let me tell you)! Last one I was with was also bipolor, which made things even worse....

Back on topic...
THe best/most current scientific stuff I have read indicates a combination of genetics and homrones etc whilst in the womb. There was also a surprising correlation to the number of older brothers you have have, the more likely you are to be gay. (The old film Seven brides for seven brothers? At least one of those brothers was only getting married for show, lol)

I believe you are born this was way, and no amount of praying/wishing/hiding/denying it will make it go away. There are times when you "think" you have it under control, but it's always there. The most important thing you can do is accept it, doesn't do any good trying to "figure it out" or wonder "why"... it just is.
