weather where ever
Well here in south east UK we have once again got another bloody downpour of rain and tomorrow expecting storms to arise this way... They forecasted storms for ages and never materialised... I know our months rainfall is ment to be 52mm and here we have had so far since beginning of June.... 122.3 mm's of rainfall and we got more to come on the weekend with it being a washout... Incase your wondering why so much??? The jet stream from europe has decided its got bored of the waters off northern scotland so this year its going to LASH down on south east south and south west england instead but the south east hardest hit lol....

Our average rainfall for June is around 115mm for the month. As of today, halfway through the month, we have recieved 150mm and more to come this weekend Sad

question is... Are yopu flooded??? Here im not as im lucky and got a property on the cliff edge so im 330ft above sea level (lot of water to make me flood.... or remove the cliff lol)

We have had flooding for the last 18 months basically. The reason being is we have had such unusually high rainfall that the ground is saturated, especially those living on heavy soils, so all it takes is a heavy downpour and there is flooding.

This time last week we have over 100mm (4in) of water in our yard and the roads out front had over 300mm (12in) over water over it. We have a river at the end of the street and the heaviest downpour coincided with a king tide produced by an extreme Low Pressure system.

At this point in time, dry around the gills, moist under foot.

sounds good.. I know last week i had to drive to North London from Brighton and the M25 which is the orbital road like a ring road was flooded but i was driving a hire van that behaved like a lesbian in a chocolate shop... Just cut through puddles and streams crossing the road only problem was... Tracking was out as had to hold the wheel at a 90 degree angle to drive straight wipers took 47 seconds to swipe on first gear and second gear was every 2 seconds with third being less than 1 second and as a big kid i couldnt resist the log flume effect by driving through puddles and sending water over the edge of a bridge onto the roads below... Childish i know lol
