Celebrated my nieces birthday and got to spend time with her and my nephew who I haven't seen in a month because he joined the marines and is stationed 4 hrs away

My dad came over this morning to help me get a tree that had fallen off of the fence in my backyard. After we were done he asked if we could talk. I knew exactly what he wanted to talk about and was a bit apprehensive at first. He and I haven't talked much since I came out. But it was a good talk. One of the things he asked me was if something he had done to "make" me gay. I told him there was nothing he or anyone else could have done to make me the way I am. That seemed to set his mind at ease a bit. And in the process it felt so good to finally be able to talk to him about all of this. Not sure he's 100% accepting of it all, but at least the door is open. mile:
