I'm just gonna keep posting updates here...
Here's an update, but I have a question at the end if you don't want to read everything!
So this week has been kinda intense...
I went and talked with a counselor and he really made me feel better... He said that he thinks my mom is just asking about girls because she wants me to admit I'm gay and also because she wants grandchildren.
He suggested I stop by the lgbt center on campus and talk to one of the head people about coming out advice and other questions...
And I have to say that was one of the most awkward moments of my life... I walked in to schedule an appointment and everyone in the lounge area seemed super nice and wanted to introduce themselves and, IDK, it was a bit much for me so I probably came across super rude. Anyways, I went back this afternoon for the appointment and it turns out he had to cancel so I rescheduled and will meet with him again next week. Same situation though... Really nervous probably came across as rude, but what REALLY mad me uncomfortable was seeing an old friend a few feet from the area... He was leaving a completely different place but I think he could tell where I was walking... I stuttered so much and could barely talk... Haha... He probably thought I had lost my mind... The thing is I think he may be gay, I know Facebook isn't like a fact novel, but it doesn't say if he is interested in men or women on his profile. IDK, I'm probably reading too much into that.
QUESTION:
Anyways I have a huge question for y'all! I want to tell my gay cousin who I'm not very close to that I'm gay. But I don't know how to do it! I wrote a Facebook message but haven't sent it yet... I just need some help starting the convo, how's: "Hey man... I know you and I have never been very close, but I was wondering of I could talk to you about something."
He's a nice guy and I've seen him almost every thanksgiving but I've never really talked to him a lot. I don't think he'd tell anyone...
