Attracted to younger men

Not that I'm not willing to help or support a future partner. It's just that due to my own lifestyle I NEED a very independent and self-reliant partner.

I'm SUPER independent--almost to a fault. I'd like a partnership. I'm really not interested in mentoring. Supporting? Yes. Mentoring? No.

I hope that makes sense.

It does make sense. I am not sure, though, how much this narrows the number of potential partners. I guess among the younger ones, who are looking for dating someone older than their own age is, there will be a lot of those who look for a strong figure. Someone, who would guide them and, simply put, "take care of them."

However, if you are looking for someone in their thirties... it could work. Good luck Smile

Hmm. Good point.

And to be perfectly honest, I DID feel a certain desire to "take care of" the last guy I was seeing (who was 33). But all of that fell apart for several different reasons, not the least of which was my hang up with his "partying" (for lack of a better word).

I'm really not a grumpy old man!

I want to take care of someone! But I don't want to be a bloody babysitter.

For some reason I'm primarily - almost exclusively attracted to men in their early thirties. Don't know why. I love the idea of a student-mentor relationship, and being the muse for an artist.

Just a thought, a theory, that I am not sure how to put into praxis Smile Where would a younger guy who is attracted to older guys go to look for them? I don't think a dancing club would be his first choice, so what would? You know, I don't try to imply that you should go to the library, but maybe something comes to your mind.

This is kind of funny, but I'm in the opposite side of this predicament. I am a younger guy who is interested primarily interested in older guys. My friends like to party all the time and I usually get roped into being their DD. They're fun, but I like the maturity that you seem to find with older guys. But I have no idea where to meet an older guy who wants more than a one night stand.

Fortunately, it's not only the outside that counts.

Hmm, well youth is certainly affiliated with beauty, but I don't see that beauty lies in any specific place. After all, as a primarily gay and bisexual community here on gayspeak, we have to be aware that our object choices, just by virtue of their gender, differ from those of most men.

I think beauty is in youth, in spirit, in ruggedness, in distinction, in the sensual, and in base humanity.

Art gives us a useful way of thinking of beauty removed from the immediate question of sexual attractiveness. The portraits of Lucian Freud remind me that what is beautiful is not necessarily what is pretty.

This painting doesn't scream "beautiful" at you, but there is definitely something powerfully evocative in the musculature, the animalism, the intensely physical impression of it. Are people so different form art, that they cannot be beautiful in an equally dizzying array of different ways.
