Avoiding my best friend
#21
I know how you feel for the most part. My friend just happens to be dating a girl. And you can see where that's going. I still talk to him and everything, I send him texts and messages. I know it's hard not being "the one" they want, but it's always best just to keep the people you love close. I know my guy will never really love me, but as a friend I am fine with it. I just recently came to accept his girlfriend. I told him I was happy for them and I realized that that's all that matters. As long as we're both friends and as long as we're still keeping an eye out for each other, sharing each others happiness, nothing can go wrong. It just wasn't meant to be. I love him and miss him a bunch, but it's just something I have to get past. I'm super jealous of his girlfriend and I dislike her for taking him, I feel horrible everytime he tells me about the things they do together, but I can only be happy for him because ultimately, thats what I wanted from the start. And he is happy for me as well, he tells me he is whenever I talk to him. But i don't know, the jealousy will be there, the awkwardness will float around, but just be honest, get past the differences, and accept the fact that you are still friends. He holds none of my jealousy or anything against me. Being honest with him was the best thing I could have done for us. Still, not completely honest though cause i havent told him that im gay, but that doesnt apply to you lol. Either way, it's a mountain that cant just be told to move over. Gotta keep climbing. Soon, it'll be a smooth and easy decent back into flow of things and sooner or later you'll find someone else that means just as much, if not more, than the previous guy. And you'll have him and your friend. Bonus, i say lol. but yeah. that's my two cents. lol Sorry, i didn't really read the in between stuffs. I prolly should have though <_<;

Hello Sapde,
When you see him at the weekend think to yourself that what he tells you is his happiness he wants you to enjoy with him... Jelousy is a emotion that shouldnt be in existant because it shows how weak we as people can be.... Its better to support him through his new relationship than it is to wish it ended

Hi Spades hope it all goes well when you Skype your friend on Sunday. The best thing to do is to stay calm when you speak to him. It's better to have him as a friend then not.

Ok, so spoke to my friend just now, and damn I missed him! I asked him to tell me a bit about Will, which he did, and some stuff he said made me die on the inside, but I kept my calm. And seeing how happy he is when he spoke about him, made me happy.

It will take time, but I will get through this, I will become happy gor them both and I too will find happiness Confusedmile:

Hi Spades what is it like being gay in south Africa? It's hard being gay in a small welsh village there is nothing here. I would like to meet more gay people here and find friendship and hopefully happiness. It's so difficult being gay sometimes. Confusedmile:

The hardest part of being gay in South Africa is finding guys who want more than just sex.

However I'm currently living in Saudi Arabia, where being gay is against the law, however there are many gay and bi guys here. But they only want sex.

So it is a struggle, generally gay guys in bars and clubs are the promiscuous type, as are those on 'dating' sites. I have yet to find a good place to meet more than one decent guy.

Good luck to you Dan!
