Cuddling can be just as great as sex in the right situation. I am not sure why he lost contact with you and maybe he just wasn't comfortable in the situation anymore. Guys can be a mess of emotions and just couldn't be upfront with you. I say that you try and contact him and ask him what the hell is up and if he can't tell you then he is a coward and you need to move on. If you can't even communicate with a fuck buddy then there is def something up on his part.
