Summoning Spirits

GossamerMoon Wrote:Egg, eh? I do the basic bubbles unless there's trouble. Then I can get pretty darned creative. Diamond shields are a girl's best friends... 8^)

Oh I get very creative with construct shielding. My little "I dare you to figure that one out." It's also the one I teach if someone is in trouble, fairly easy for most to understand, and it's effective wile still allowing for grounding.

Yeah I'd be really interested in some protection prep. I've really wanted to get into paranormal investigation for sometime now and there's a couple of pretty established groups in my area, but I'm not sure how to go about getting involved with them. Or even if I'd want to. Not that I'm shy or anything. I mean, hello, I'm sharing my life with the world on YouTube. It's just they are established and bringing in a newbie, regardless of how much experience they have, is difficult sometimes.

A basic shield is easy to do. Just center, or cleanse (let go of any negativity you are feeling) some visualize it floating away, others imagine it balling up, then throw it away from them.

Then visualize a bubble or egg shimmering around you and, using a small amount of your own energy to hold it's shape. Make it any color, and as thick as you think you need. It's just a visualization to help you tune yourself to not allow intrusions from anything negative.

If you feel yourself buzzing, over energized just imagine a tendril going from your center, near your heart but dead in the middle of your chest, to the ground and all of that excess going into the ground. That's called grounding and, if you get buzzing and don't ground, it can cause one hyper insomniac for a while. (I'm bad about getting to focused on what I'm doing and not grounding when I should.)

Most of us that do any sort of psychic or energy work keep those shields up at all times except when the work we are doing requires we drop them..

I don't see a reason to get into construct shielding, you don't need those unless something actually attaches to you and, I'm close enough to remote. If on the off chance you did pick up anything really hard to eradicate, I can guide as well for remotes and, I think Gossamer could help, if not I know others that could.

I think that the ghosts you need to fear and protect yourself from are inside of living people for the most part...ghosts are just souls and I think alot of people make them scarier and more mysterious than they actually are. I help them all the time (just did a few days ago) and it is rather unspectacular and it actually starts to become at least slightly gratifying.

My favorite quickie protection is blue light...I wait until I get it a brilliant blue color and then I have a sphere of white light above and let it shimmer or "rain" down on me....but I rarely have had to use it with ghosts (a couple times...yes).

The point....if you are interested in ghosts or spirits I think it is best to understand them using empathy versus fear or suspense. I think you can learn alot more when those condition exist.

Thanks. I've never done anything like that or even any kind of serious investigation. So I'm wondering if I should practice beforehand. Also, I'd did some googling and found some protection prayers as well. Would it be a good idea to include those in preparation?

If the prayers have personal meaning to you, I'd include them in the cleansing process, and yea do it at least once before you go ghost hunting, just so you are familiar with how to do it, and what exactly works for you.

Well I definitely don't want to go into it half-cocked (no pun) and I'm not going in to intimidate or provoke. Especially after what happened the other night just driving by. But I'm not really afraid of what I might find. Just very curious and a bit...awed I guess you could say. I have never had that personal of an experience and it definetly piqued my curiosity. Not saying that I want to be possessed by whatever this is, but I would definetly like to learn more about this thing. Maybe even have a talk with it...being safe of course.

Possession is rare, things getting attached and following you not so rare for that poltergeist sort, which is what I think that one is. Even then it's rare for those to actually physically harm someone, they can drag a lot of negative energy to you, like your own personal black cloud that you know isn't your own mind or anything you are doing. Occasionally they can throw things, makes noise and the like but even that is less common that just being there and making you feel threatened.

And even then, that is often unintentional, other than they want to be a part of life and, you just happened to be the most receptive person they found to follow. Though with the history of the surrounding area and that one cruel father being a possibility, That is one to be wary of until you know what or who it is.

What link did you find that info about the father under? I called myself looking but didn't see anything. I did find there is a Mt. Holly cemetery in Little Rock, AR and I wondered if maybe that wasn't the one it was talking about. Either way I will be on the look out for that and on my guard against anything that can latching and follow me home. I have enough here already that I'm dealing with to be adding a poltergeist or any other unworldly thing to it. Also I'm goin to be videoing the investigation tomorrow and could be a bit distracted so anything you can do remotely to help shield would be much appreciated.

Both in the area, might be a different graveyard, but it's close to you, and on one of the routes you might have taken when you encountered the man.
