I knew a guy almost exactly like "Darren" (he was even black and I'm suddenly wondering if they're the same person...IIRC the guy I knew was 18 in 1998) but I don't think anyone liked him...they just found him hilarious (and they laughed AT, not with). If I were to complain about anything other than his rudeness then it would be his living up to negative gay stereotypes and making sure people remembered him so that when someone straight thought of someone gay they thought of him rather than all the much better people I'd rather they think about as examples of someone gay.

im to lay back and overly femmine guys to me bring to much attention that i personally would not be able to handle

No offense, but you think that just because a guy is black and flambouyant means that it's the same guy? XD Nah, it's not. Darren did not look that old, he looked in the 18-21 range that most others were (and acted that way too -.-).

Not really, but it occurred to me. It would've been nice to think there was only one guy in the world who'd fit that description, but I did realize that such a hope was probably in vain.

One of my only friends from when I was young who didn't die is a very flamboyant black guy who has made me laugh harder than anyone else in my entire life...

When we were 18 he and another friend of ours who did die would dress up like nurses and march around in the all mens black nurse brigade with a white dress on and they kept their mustaches...lolololol He had more balls than anyone i have ever known....

...I wouldn't trade a second I ever spent with him (well...maybe the time he dressed up like a nurse and pretended he was a homosexual experience census taker at the mall )...I spit out a mouth full of whatever I was drinking so many times with him....whats not to love:biggrin:

But he did have his critics and most likely still does...they amuse him I think. Flamboyant guys....at least some of them.... have alot to teach the rest of us if we pay attention.

Oh yeah...wanted to add...flamboyant guys are just like everyone else...individuals...and should be treated as such.

^Who? The flambouyant guy I talked about? Possibly. Maybe they think he's funny and fun to be around. Some of the stuff he says may be but, he needs to learn to be respectful. There are ways to be comical and fun while being respectful.
