Massive age differences.

I'd have to say that age is but a number my friend. If you two truly care for one another and it's not a problem between the TWO OF YOU, it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.

Wow I'm deffinatly overwhelmed by all your responses thanks guys Smile

I've always thought as myself a lot more mature than other guys my age due to the industry I work in and to the fact most of my friends are 5 to 10 years older than me, so I grew up a lot faster than what was expected of me.

Actually the other night we went out for dinner and to a movie, it was great apart from some older heteo cople saying "aww look how cute that is, dad has taken his son to the movies" and that really got to me, but I guess it's just going to be something we will have to work through together.
We've been seeing each other for nearly 2 years now but have only been an "item" for about a month now and I'm loving every bit of it apart from those F&?&ers who think its their place to say something about us.

I know we've got a connection "obviously" and have realized age is only a number and love can pop up in the most awkward of places but I just don't want us to end because of stupid people with there narcastic comments about us, I'd prefer us to end on our own terms than regret what could have happened between us for the rest of my life.

As for him tiring out before I do so far that hasn't happened yet, he keeps extremely good care of himself goes to gym everyday and keeps his fitness levels up well above my own (I think it's a power thing for him),so in saying that, it really doesn't worry me with him tiring out before I do.

Obviously my main concern is that due to the 21 years age difference is if we do work through everything and end up being together for a considerable amount of time, him passing on well before I do is my main concern, but in the end that's just how life works isn't it.
He has a birthday coming up soon so I've booked us a two week holiday over to Thailand, I thought to myself it will be great to just spend two whole weeks with just me and him and thought we may as well do it while he is still in his younger years so we can both enjoy it to the max.

Obviously with such a huge age difference there will be conflicting times as there is in any relationship but that's just something that will have to be worked through step by step.

Thanks again for the advice and responses, it's really helped me a lot to see clearer.

It sounds to me like you both care for each other very much so I say screw what everyone else thinks and enjoy life together as a couple!

I'm sure you'll treasure every minute. Bighug

Plato's Symposium has multiple praises on this type of the relationship in ancient Greece.

Yeah it's true older guys use us for sex.
But if we are into older guys... Some people just judje, ca't think ... you can't just live your life thinking what other think about you; fuck the rest be whatever you want to be adn pick what you want , It's a free world.
"The ones who judje can't live their lives", this is what my moms told my dad who judjed me of being gay, and then she left him, and now he sends me message me... just be what you want to be , others wil always get it when they think about it.

Follow your heart sweetie.

Do not give power of control to people that cannot bring you the happiness your partner can.

Well, archubbycub is right. It shouldn't matter if both of you are happy.

Though not in a relationship right now, I am interested in a younger man whom I met a couple of months ago. Yes he's gay and, interested in me as well. We live in different states so, hooking up wouldn't be easy but, he's 25 and I'm 46.

It doesn't matter, we have a lot in common, enjoy the same things in many areas, and we like talking to each other and sharing day to day stuff via phone, email, chat, whatever. Age does not matter as long as both of you are of the age of consent for where you live. Love can't count, it doesn't care about age in the least.
