You may have some infection going. If you haven't seen a doctor yet and are near a health food store "reishi" mushroom capsules or drimks will usually kill infection like that and you will be able to tell that day - no waiting to see. I only say that because I thought you might be hesitating to see your doctor and the pain you describe could be a tear or roid, but infections that can happen to anyone act about the same and are easily treated.
ALSO you can just say infection at the store you don't have to say where and reishi would be for tooth infection just as much as any other if that helps - poor guy I can't see you with my eyes so can't diagnose but it's 50/50 that it is a minor infection
