Yep, we've beat you to it, to correct your mis-spelling "Edinburgh" haha mrk2010 you're WAY off, we are not racist, or homophobic far from it actually :biggrin:

The country is full of different cultures and people from all over the world and although you get the odd racist person against it personally I don't mind it, they bring us a bit of culture, are extremely friendly and just want to call our country "home" what's wrong with that? mile:

Our income if we go independent would come from a multitude of places - oil, coal, gold - mining and then there is our growing technology, science, medicine and such :biggrin:

Lots of negative sentiment about the European Community at the moment... I listen to BBC Radio Four and not one day goes by without the news saying something negative about the Euro. I don't know where all this is going economically, as I don't master finance. We all know we're in a global economic recession. But I do think a little positive thinking would go a long way to making it a less depressing state of affairs. I wonder why I've heard Scots say they would join the Euro if they got their independence... Is there something they're seeing that we don't see?
