What saddens me is gays wanting to be part of something (Christianity, Muslim or whatever) that hates them, despise them, that wish we didn't exist.

Why would a gay person want to be accepted by such bigotry?

maybe the religion is necessary for the culture where they live but i agree with you why be a part of something that wants to burn gays in hell. I am talking thet modern implementation of the religion

I don't think im gonna burn in hell because im gay. I believe you can't be blamed for what you feel. I really tryed to me normal. It doesn't work. And then instead of hating myself, i started thinking; im already normal. Normal means something accepted by the community. Drinking water is normal. Walking on the moon isn't because its not happening everyday to every people. We're normal, gays are everywhere and i'm not going to hell because people says so. It's between me and God. No one can claim what's gonna happen to me. Thats non of their business.

Very true .... I have learned that the founders of the world-religions wandered around to learn about other lifestyles, other religions... to be informed what possibilities people have.
By example Jesus never said anything about to hate gay people.... he teached understanding, love and peace. For Buddha it was important that no being gets hurt.... hate is a kind of violence.... so it can´t be that he is against homosexuality.
For us as pagans we have to accept any natural given rule.... homosexuality is a natural given rule.... so we have to accept it.
And a god / goddess who build the whole world don´t make such a mistake....

Try to make yourself ( and someday your partner ) happy .... life in peace, understanding.... don´t judge and don´t use any kind of violence.... and your will find peace, self-accept and love in your soul

I posted this because i was so angry to bill maher. I liked him and i was watching sarah silverman. Than i saw one of the videos he talked about my religion. I don't know who did he bumped to and i can't blame him. But if this is how whole world sees us.. i just wanned to clear that up.

Actually, I can't stand Bill Maher, though I stopped watching him years ago (but I heard recently he's still pretty bad, the way I remember him). And I think everyone knows he hates religion of any kind and if he ever said anything nice about any religion I can't recall it.

That said, I'm actually ok with people being critical of religion but they need to do it the right way, like Cristina Rad does (and sticks up for gays beautifully, too, even accepted a valentine from another woman). Heck, Richard Dawkins is as relentless as Maher but at least (from what I've seen of him) he has a respectable way of going about it and his humor isn't cruel like Maher's.

That's the thing! I'm okay with humor. He wasn't joking!

Rumble, for being so young, you already hold much wisdom. Hang in there, even when times are tough. I think many people will benefit from your perspectives throughout your life.
