Republicans praying for bad things

Recently (in the last few days) I saw someone post a response to the hurricane threatening the Republican convention and someone said that a few years ago Republicans prayed to mess up a Democrat gathering and not only did it not happen but they themselves had bad weather or some such.

Does anyone know more about this, or at least can anyone point me back to that post?
