Thanks you guys. ^^ I'm currently working on another song that sounds a lot less depressing (this one, the guitar was in some.. C minor scale? sounded really crappy for a love song) albeit, now I can't think of lyrics! ARGH! *whams head against table*

And I do have a new special someone (you think I go into relationships to easy? Rolleyes:tongueSmile and I've got four days to get a song written Laugh that is if I have the patience and integrity I had for the other one... Thanks so much you guys!

C minor "really crappy for a love song"?

You wouldn't be dissing Cerrone's greatest triumph now, would you?

 as luck would have it...

Naw... it was just a really depressed-sounding chord progression Rolleyes one for maybe a MCR song or something, not so much a song about how I'd love to spend the rest of my life with the guy...

Edit: actually, it sounded a lot like a Breaking Benjamin song in truth... <.<

Now I'm curious so, as a matter of interest, what were the chords?

You'll have to forgive me, I'm old. MCR = My Chemical Romance, by any chance? Cool

I don't know the names of the chords... I've never taken guitar lessons... just kind picked a guitar up and tried to make something that sounds good...

And YES! MCR is My Chemical Romance ^^ best band ever... in my humble opinion...

Let me see if I can record it on here...

As far as recent stuff goes... I'm inclined to agree!

While you may arrive at some happy accidents, it's going to take longer than if you had some theoretical underpinning to your compositions. Have you thought of taking the music of your song to a friend who can play and asking them for advice? It may be that a very simple change of position makes all the difference ... something one often finds to be true in life Rolleyes
