Why Summer is the Worst
#1
1) It's too hot.
2) It's too moist.
3) It's too sunny.
4) I get dizzy all the time.
5) This is when I always get the flu and have to go to hospital and be told my blood pressure drops A LOT when I stand up.
6) I feel obliged to go outside but I CAN'T BECAUSE I'LL DIE.
7) Everybody is smelly.
8) I'm sleepy all the time.
9) The sun thinks it's sooo great and won't shut up about it.
10) I don't want to go to the beach. It's too sandy.
11) Swimming is grubby and wet.
12) All my dough gets too sticky.
13) I hate wearing sunscreen. It's sticky.
14) If you don't wear sunscreen in New Zealand you actually die. You get melanoma and die.
15) Fresh berries are too expensive.
16) Even the rain feels like sweat.
17) I can't make fattening food anymore.
18) I don't understand how people could go to Australia or anywhere north of Auckland in summer. Why do you want to die. I was in Melbourne in February once and mum and I got stuck in a tour bus where the air con broke.

Personally, I hate the winter for the opposite reasons.

Cold,
Wet,
Windy,
Miserable,
Dark,
Snow,
Snow Balls,
Kids,
Kids with snow balls,
Inconsiderate drivers who seem to aim for large puddles of water at the side of the road and soak you with dirty water.
The extra cost of heating and lighting the home.
Christmas - Ohhhhhhhhhhh I hate Christmas!
A Fart on Christmas, POX take it!

summer is way too hot, wells dry up, smokey forest fires
spring is too much mud every where

Summer isn't too bad in the UK compared to other places, I don't like too much heat though. I prefer spring and autumn when the weather isn't too hot or cold

Low blood pressure and sweating - get your salt/sodium levels checked. As I kid I would pass out when I sweated (kid late teens early twenties) came to find out that I do not hold on to salts and electrolytes. Once I started taking steps to keep my potassium, sodium and electrolytes up the instances of dizzy-upon standing and falling over when standing ended.

I do things like add 1/4 teaspoon of mineral or sea salt (no iodide added salts) to a gallon of 'weak' lemonade. 1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice and either 1/2 cup sugar or 1/4 to 1/3 cup honey. I drink lemonade all day long - sipping it.

I take a few oranges and squeeze out about half a gallon of juice, add water to make a gallon and 3 tablespoons honey and 1/4 teaspoon salt when I have stripped the lemon trees bare.

These two replace Gatorade and other electrolyte type drinks and for me with the orange tree and lemon trees means far less expensive. When I work away from home I take a liter or 2 liter soda bottle and fill half way with my juice, freeze than then before I leave the house I fill to the top with fluid juice. It stays relatively cold most of the day especially when I keep it in the cooler.

As for sunscreen - There are various brands out there.

Shh don't tell, but I use baby sunscreen (shameless of me) Banana Boat for Babies (pink tube). It is SPF 50 and it blocks UVA and UVB rays.

It has a very faint scent and once it dries it doesn't feel like you are wearing anything.

It snowed today. X multiplied by my sympathy equals zero. Solve for more sympathy.

I detest it as well , I do not mind it in the mid to late twenties ,but when the mercury rises above that I hate it.
And I am a native here.

To each his own. It's fuckin' cold here and I just want heat and humidity. Oh....and snow is a wheelchair's worst enemy, that and stairs,
