The people on GaySpeak
#11
From memory I google and came across Gayspeak. I was part of another GLBT forum but that place died and became very uniteresting.

I joined because I am at a place in my life where I am content and willing to share my knowledge and experience and to just be amongst people I can identify with and visa versa.

The people here are gorgeous and I consider you all extended family and I am so glad that I found Gayspeak...A big shout out goes to ANDY for bringing us all together and keeping us together Bighug

I found GaySpeak several months back when I was a member of another forum. The old forum was nice until a newer member joined, he was very conceited and the admin would allow him to talk down on people without any warnings. I didn't like the attitude and the fact that it was being allowed so eventually (after a debate with the admin) I decided to leave there and had my account deleted from that forum, I waited a couple of months before considering trying another forum. I lurked for a while and eventually joined up with Zennyboy.

I joined 2 months back and spend most of my time talking in the chatroom but do like to catch up on any new posts that happen. People here seem really friendly so I doubt I'll be leaving any time soon. Smile

I joined in either late 2009 or early 2010... I think it was 2009 but I can't remember. I found the forum by searching for some information on Google, which linked me to a thread on this forum. For the next few days I lurked around, looking through previous threads and posts.

I joined the forum under the user name ~D5~, why I chose that user name is beyond me. Later on I changed it to Dark Angel. I didn't contribute much, mostly due to my own indecisiveness similar to now. I deleted my account as I was using Gay speak as an excuse to neglect coursework. However, after a month I realized that I missed gay speak due to it's amazing community and signed up with the new user name Rawr.

Sometimes you need a bit of chaos in your life to be able to shrug off pitiful disdain about something meaningless.

I joined in October of 2010 after coming out the month previously. I found GaySpeak via Google. Quite frankly I was a basket case after coming out. I felt compelled to seek out other people like me. I joined another forum previously but it lacked substance. I found this place after getting bored with the other forum and it helped me tremendously in settling into my new reality. My favorite part about GaySpeak is the ambiance. The members here are positively fantabulous.Confusedmile:

I love the people here, I joined in June of 2012, and I came, because I needed to find support and people like me. I started this thread, but I just thought I would let you guys know why I came here.

Being part of a few other forums online (During my forum frenzy phase, in which I'd recently discovered the concept and existence of them), I stumbled upon it via Google after searching for "gay forums".

There were a few other gay forums out there, but this one had always been my favorite for having actual substance, and a great online community.
