Ethnic Music

She's this lovely lady who loves to sing in different languages! And her voice is so lovely, oh my god I want to be her.

ooh and the lyrics for this song are so pretty:

She sat alone by the lake and sang to him Bittersweet songs until he appeared. My swan, my swan, do tell me where do you sail to when the sun goes away? My swan, my swan, do tell me where do you sail to when the sun goes away? She felt as he understood her but she never got any answers. About life on the other side, if he knew a better world. My swan, my swan give me the freedom to follow you. My swan, my swan give me the freedom to follow you.

also here's the original:

I do love a bit of ethnic music also. I love punjabi music. Below is a 'clubby' song but the music video is rather strange to say the least.

I love to listen to music from all across the globe particularly Turkey, South Korean and Lebanon. My Ipod is full with songs from these countries.

I wouldn't categorize these songs as ethnic songs though.

These are my personal favorites from Turkey.

Tarkan - Kuzu Kuzu

Tarkan - Isim Olmaz

Tarkan - Adimi Kalbine Yaz

Sinan Akçıl - Fark Atıyor

Mustafa Sandal - Isyankar

Gokhan Tepe - Yuru Yuregim

Kirmizi Biber - Bendeniz

Why not some fusion inspired world jazz with sitar and bongos?

Sometimes you need a bit of chaos in your life to be able to shrug off pitiful disdain about something meaningless.
