am I gay?
#1
Hello,
I'm a 17 year old boy. I've only been in straight relationships before but never had sex. I watch porn but it it's predominantly gay. Today in the I shower and began masturbating anally. This was not the first time, but I actually had an orgasm. That was a first. I really loved the feeling and it was way better than normal masturbation. I am still attracted to women but am curious about men. I constantly fantasize about sex with men but am never attracted to any guys. the question ultimately is, am I gay?

Does that not offer you the answer to your own question?

It's ok to be not sure when you're 17. Experiment a little. If you have sex with a woman it doesn't mean you're hetero; or gay if you have sex with a guy. You will still be you. Let friendships develop and follow your attractions. Our culture loves to label us as hetero or gay, but people aren't necessarily that simple.

I'm attracted to both men and women and can enjoy a romantic / sexual relationship with either. You may find yourself to be bisexual with a preference for one or the other, and your preference may change over time. You don't have to decide now and forever. As far as I'm concerned, having a healthy attitude toward sexuality and relationships is way more important than whether you're gay or hetero.

I think you're more bicurious.

And btw, plenty of straight men enjoy anal penetration by women...usually this is a finger (or 2) during sex (tip: be careful about this if she has long nails) but some use dildos (typically while he's topping her) and even using a strap-on on her guy (called "pegging") isn't unknown, and it's known to greatly increase the power of orgasm in many men. And being anally penetrated doesn't make you gay or bi anymore than a lesbian who enjoys being penetrated with a strap-on by another woman makes her straight as your attraction and intimate connections are still to women.

When you say you are not attracted to guys then that means you are not gay, but when you say you fantasize about having sex with a guy then you have sexual attraction to men, which means that you may be gay. So it is confusing. Maybe you are bi-curious or bisexual or something. You'll have to find out through experience and through your own emotions. But the bottom line is, is that you be true to yourself.

the question is, Does it matter?

Are you going to feel better if you can call yourself gay?
Are you going to enjoy doing what your doing less if your actually straight?

Just be yourself and see how you feel as things come along.

Labels are so 20th Century....

As long as your comfortable with yourself and don't feel trapped into forcing a label onto your self, who cares.

anal sex and gay sex are not mutually exclusive terms ~

like people have said ... you could just be bicurious . but don't worry about labeling yourself Smile

I think the best advice I got when I was trying to figure out my sexuality was "if you think about who you want to spend the rest of your life with, grow old together, and set on the porch swing holding hands with when you're older, and that person is of the same sex as you, then yes you are gay." But you're still young and have all the time in the world to figure that out!! Have some fun!! Experiment and figure out for yourself who you are attracted to! But always play safe!! In time you will figure it out, but in the meantime don't let anyone or anything stick a label on you! Labels are for clothes!! Take care and welcome to GS!!
