Straight (??) married woman very, very darn confused

I agree, your situation is not that uncommon. I see a lot of comedians make jokes about not getting married, so in other words I am not getting any. Ha, Ha, funny but partially true.

Gay porn is similar to straight porn in terms of the domination thing. There is more variety I think but truth be told, the porn industry is a billion dollar business and many of the same companies make both straight and gay movies. Porn is not real life, its a fantasy that most of us will never experience. Not all men have 9 inch tools and 6 pack abs.

And duh yes, straight guys love seeing to women together. That porn is made for them not lesbians. So double standard. Although I did see a girl once in the gay section with her boyfriend. She wanted to rent one with two men in it. When her boyfriend said I am not gay, she said neither am I but you make me watch two women all the time. Love it.

Gay relationships is a bit different then straight relationships. So yes, you are probably over romanticizing them. The reason you are probably doing this is strait romance movies are set up differently. Gay men, probably more then 98 percent will not have kids. Statistically very few of us do even though its always in the news. So we tend to put all of our emotional energy into the relationship. In a way it's all we have. Many of us feel like we on the outside of the society so when we finally find someone we really connect with its very deep. Break ups are usually harder for us. Pets become our children. And when we are older, no family or offspring around to help take care of us except maybe some friends. So movies try to reflect that.

Another point is that gay relationships are usually built on similarities; we enjoy the same outings, same activities, same hobbies, etc.... We have a similar outlook on life and, similar dreams for the future.

Straight relationships are built on difference, one balancing or adding what the other does not bring to the relationship. He's logical, she's emotional, he paints, she does fabrics, etc...

Sure a few things are opposites but complimentary in any relationship but, there is generally more of that in straight relationships than gay relationships. The intimacy can still be there, it's just different that's all.

Talk to the husband, maybe introduce a scented or edible body product, just for fun, try small new things and see how he takes to that.
