I got all excited cause I read about them having a reboot in 2013... but it's already been postponed, which sucks =/

I am so confused when people do not like it ha ha , because it is really so good (≧∇≦Wink/

I blame the English dub completely!

I remember watching the dub as a child, then the Japanese version (with subtitles) when I was a teen, and then the dub again (a few days ago, funnily enough) for nostalgic purposes.

And MY GOD they messed up. From what I can tell, the writers made no effort to translate the series, they just got given a basic summary of the episode, then wrote whatever they wanted to... and it shows.

And the SLANG they put into it was cringeworthy! xD "stoigemeister" being one that sticks in my head... for all the wrong reasons Laugh

You should, it'd be cool to hear what you think, seeing how you saw the original first :3

They changed the terminology a lot as well, I just remembered that xD

Like, they clearly didn't care what the moves were called - one episode it's Moon Tiara Magic, the next it's Moon Tiara Vaporize (why they couldn't have just translated it as Moon Tiara Action I have no idea...)

And the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou's name just got mauled. Like, in the space of a single episode it'd be called the Silver Crystal, the Imperial Crystal, the Silver Imperium Crystal, The Imperial Silver crystal... etc.

And they felt the need to call the Dark Kingdom (a fairly acceptable term), the Negaverse. Or, sometimes, just for the heck of it they call it the Negaforce. Cause apparently children are too stupid to notice Laugh

...wow, I can really vent about that dub xD

Someone tell me before that in the English dub they have changed relationship between Haruka and Michiru to cousins instead of girlfriends ヽ(#`Д´)ノ
Is that true ?

I haven't seen the show in many years but I would guess that this is true. I'd be extremely surprised if an explicitly gay relationship could have gotten into a cartoon in the United States at the time the show first aired here (1995) without a lot of people freaking out.

Just checked, according to wikipedia they were changed to be cousins.

Yeah, and they changed Zoisite into a girl... =/
And Luna has the voice of a 40-something English nanny...

My favorite anime of all time is Inuyasha. My friend showed me this new anime where the people fly around on these cables and kill giants called titans.

My favourite Studio Ghibli anime would be Spirited Away and Tonari no Totoro~ Love totoro! I found totoro mattress online last time, and I swear if I have the space for it in my room,I'd bought it already~

Maybe I've missed, but I don't see any one talking about Clamp animes. They are also my favourite~ My 1st and most favourite Clamp anime would be Cardcaptor Sakura~ Others including Angelic Layer,Tsubasa Chronicle, and XXXHolic. XXXHolic is also a seinen anime, using shounen-like medium,I love it~ Tsubasa is a shounen anime, but there's a lot of moral values in it,making me second guess it as a seinen anime as well.

Good call on CLAMP anime. Cardcaptor Sakura is awesome (although I haven't finished it yet) and XXXHolic is pretty neat too even if people always mistake it for porn when they happen to see it in my bookcase... I really want to watch Chobits!
