Romantic Meals

What would your favourite romantic meal be?

Any meal where my husband reaches across the table and places his hand over mine - and gives me that smile that tells me he still loves me.

I quite like Angel Spaghetti with Vodka sauce. I had that with a partner once and it was very romantic~

after work yesturday we met downtown at the cruse bar where we live, we thought that was romantic. They dimmed the lights and it was RED.

Hmm, well I suppose it would be:
Appetizer: Caesar Salad
Entree: Ox Tails or Venison Shank (whichever I had on hand.)
Vege: Asparagus
Starch: Rice Pilaf
Drink: Elderberry Wine
Dessert: Pomegranate Mousse or Sorbet. (depending on if it was a cold or hot day.)

At home of course so we could watch a movie or listen to music in front of the fire while we had an after dinner glass of that wine.

I like it the lights dimmed, soft music, like jazz, romance songs or easy listening, playing in the background. Serving a succulent and tender beef with green beans and mashed potatoes is delicious. Sipping a mild red wine and just talking while a fire glows in the distance.

Just off the top of my head:
oysters,
paua or abalone
a spicy soup, maybe more brothy than thick. Tom yum, maybe.
something chocolat-y for dessert, probably a mousse or a rich French Chocolate cake (the one that has like no flour in it)

I never think of food as very romantic. It's more a personal or a social thing for me.

Not to sound cheesy or anything but anything that took even a tiny amount of effort would be very romantic to me whether it was even good or not. Although if he knew what kind of food I liked (spicy things, pasta, sushi etc.) I guess I'd find that very romantic

There's a restaurant in Portland I dubbed the "sexy fondue place". I think it would be a fun and entertaining dinner.
