Have you had any other reactions to your earrings??? From other sources, or just this rather silly friend?

I really haven't had any other reactions. It is Northern California so most people are used to seeing guys with earrings. I think he is the exception. I first pierced my ear back in 1970 in High School and then pierced the other a few years ago. I word them kind of now and then until I came out. Now I wear them all the time.

So I just ran into someone I haven't seen in awhile. He isn't a great friend or anything. He noticed my earrings and said "those earrings make you look gay." I said, "really? well thanks." He said, "what?" and then I couldn't stop laughing and he walked away.
I guess I can consider that as coming out to him. It was actually rather fun. He wasn't anyone I particularly ever liked. I always thought he was a bit of a jerk. Who else would make a comment like that?

Other comebacks that would have worked:

*Well, then, they are doing thier job pretty well.
*And your face makes puppies cry.
*Money well spent.
*Only a GAY man would say that!
*Wanna buy a pair?
