Gay male half-orc?
PUH-LEEZE!!!
Its all about those bear Dwarves....gotta have some hair to grab hold of!
If so, then I am an avid player of tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons and World of Darkness. I used to play video games, but can't seem to get into them like I once did. But when I did play, my console of choice was a PC and my genre of choice were RPGs. My favorite game of all time to this day though is Planescape: Torment....brilliant game I would recommend to anyone.
What edition are they at now?
I came in on the last days of 2nd edition and made the switch over to 3.5. But then I moved, didn't have time for that much of it, Dragon magazine (which I kept subscribing to even after I more or less quit playing) got canceled, and I stopped liking the novels they put out (too apocalyptic for my taste, more focused on adrenaline and epic battles with world shattering results than actually developing characters I cared about, I remember describing it once as "they went all 9/11"), and then I saw that the 4rth edition crunch looked too generic for a storyteller like me (and it pretty much just did away with much of the cannon) and gave up on it (besides, it seemed to me that the prices kept rising while quality kept decreasing).
I heard that they're at 5th edition now? Or are they still in the development stage? If they've come out with it I'd be curious to know how it differs from 4th edition.

If you play Planescape as a pen & paper game then I strongly recommend you go with 2nd edition as it's what Torment is based on. While I generally prefer 3.5 they just destroyed too much of the unique flavor & tone of Planescape with the new editions, and though I've only read the Forgotten Realms book for 4rth edition regarding the planes I realized if that's canon then the the story of Planescape (and Torment) have just been radically revised to the point that I don't see how it could still work as the same campaign setting.
Granted, there are some brilliant DMs that can turn crap into gold (and others who turn gold into crap).

They are currently working on 5th edition, which the developers claim will deviate from the "world of warcraft" style that 4th edition had and return to the roots of AD&D.....for that I'm excited, but not exactly holding my breath.....4th edition left a very bad taste in my mouth.
I started on AD&D as well, and made the switch to 3rd edition in 2000 when I started to dip my toe into DM'ing. I actually enjoyed 3rd edition, but it did have its flaws, for which I am thankful 3.5 fixed mostly. Bards still suck though....much to my chagrin.
4th edition.....if you are a Storyteller/DM, I wouldn't bother with it. My friends and I always called it "cell phone D&D" because it placed FAR too much emphasis on combat after combat and very little on role-playing. It was very much a "pick up and play" style of D&D without any sort of role playing, unless the DM was willing to go the extra mile and create a homebrew revamping a great deal of the rules to focus less on combat....it played like World of Warcraft on paper rather than an actual role playing game with depth and soul to it. It was an edition designed for power gamers and munchkins who only care about killing things and getting treasure. All the classes were interchangable with one another.....wizards became pure combat casters rather than the versatile mages they once were (no more spells like Knock for example...pure combat) And all melee classes were basically the same, except for the flavor. It was horrible
Pathfinder is a sort of spiritual successor to 3.5 D&D which is actually quite enjoyable. I play that, as well as World of Darkness while I wait for more info on 5th edition.
Wade Wrote:I award you 9 points for this list. I would've given you a full ten, but you forced me to take one away for including fable 3
I never said I enjoyed fable 3. If you ask me I enjoyed fable 2 the most.
The walking dead show and game are two different things. Don't expect anything from the show to compare to the game (besides minor characters like Glenn is in the video game but eventually leaves and goes to the show) the game is canon but doesn't rely on the t.v show or comics. I highly reccomend the game to any story lover.
I've an all arounder(except when it comes to puzzles HAHAHA).I played fps like CoD, Farcry , Counterstrike. I played rpgs like Final Fantasy, Dragon age, Disgaea , Elder's scroll and Dark Souls. I played action adv games like Assassin's creed, and such. Pretty well rounded I guess.
For any who might like it, here's South Park (is a warning necessary?) take on WoW:
For those who prefer their parodies a little less in the toilet (or just prefer Everquest) here's a Disney parody (I'm not sure but I think they're are D&D references, like "tunnel lord" instead of "dungeon master"):
