Piercings.. turn on or turn off?

No they don't as long as you have a CBB in. (style of jewelry) Now with a ring or nothing in, yes it does get a bit complicated and, sitting is safer for the surrounding area. Not as big a deal as some make it out to be. Sitting might be a good idea until you get used to having a P.A. though.

And they tend to leak more at smaller sizes than larger. At 2.4mm yeah, it did a bit. At 6mm, not really a problem. I've had mine 9 years and love it. Though my main recommendation is to keep to titanium, and never surgical steel. Titanium is a lot lighter and won't stretch as much or quickly.
