Never Used Condoms.
#1
Hey.

So, Ive been thinking a lot of late and realized ive never used a condom bar with women.
I know even when I look back onto it I think just how lucky I am that im still Negative and have only ever had 1 STD, with the numerous hook ups ive had Saevil
Now before use lot go judgemental on my arse listen to my story.
I was always taught the importance of condoms and safety surrounding sexual encounters from a young age (12-13) and I always was very careful when having sexual encounters with women until I was around 17-19 where I became exclusive to men and men only.
The last 3 times I slept with woman where in Thailand where I bare backed without consequences.
I had this attitude like nothing was ever going to happen to me ill never get anything from having unprotected sex and actually "got off" on the fact of bare backing.
But when its come to sleeping with men ive never been able to use condoms as if I bottom it ends up hurting me to much and I just cant do it and well me wearing a condom is one thing but being able to achieve climax wearing one, yeah good luck.

So it went to the point where i was potentially physically harming myself on purpose but didnt see it that way until 3 of my closes friends contracted HIV and one has since died of HIV/AIDS.
Im just so pleased im now in a stable, loving, committed relationship where we've both been tested 3 times now and where still negative so it seems as if ive come out of this with luck on my side but its made me think how many of us don't have this luck and become positive after a few or even one encounter.
I guess i just needed to vent this out as its something im embarrassed about but glad ive come out on the side still intact.
Question is how many other men have gone and done wreckless encounters such as myself as all the men in question that ive topped had let me "breed" them without hesitation so is it just me or does more awareness need to be spread within our community and not just us but the whole world as i believe where in a day and age where HIV should have already died out but it seems to be becoming ever so much more prevalent in my local area and i think the younger generation are not seeing it as a death scentance any more due to the medications made available here in Aus.

You've been extremely lucky - but luck sometimes runs out.

Please be more careful in future. Bighug

Yes, the younger generation seems to neglect safe sex practices more than older types.

Probably 2 reasons.

1-They didn't grow up under the specter of an HIV epidemic.
2-Natural youthful indiscretion and feeling of invincibility (foolishness).

Guess what? There are diseases for which there are no tests. HPV (genital warts) is one. You won't know you have that virus until you start growing warts on your anus, penis or throat.

Oh, and there is no cure. Like Herpes, you won't discover it until you have a breakout and then you'll live with it for the rest of your life.

Maybe you have been very lucky. Or maybe you're carrying a virus you haven't detected yet--and you exposed all of your partners who consequently exposed their subsequent partners.

This is the risk of anonymous unprotected sex.

Slut, whore, Strumpet, Prostitute... Wait were you paid ?

I don't know. Personally I'm all for the condom wearing no matter.

So far you haven't been bit... however all it takes is one infection in most cases to turn your near boastful 'Nothing happened' to 'OH MY GOD WHY!?!?!?!?!'

Ask my ex, whatever - roommate currently - he got the HIV from one time not using the condom, he spends every day of his life bemoaning the pills and terrified that he is going to die.

I hope you rethink the whole wearing a condom thing. Sure bare-backing does feel better either end of that equation, but you never know who else you are having sex with.

Oh and don't hold out on that whole monogamy thing working out just right, my roommate/ex - oh hell whatever he is - brought the HIV home AFTER we were an established couple.

You have been very lucky in not contracting anything.
Please do not play the odds with this and be careful in the future.

Everybody thinks "it will never happen to me"...until it does, then they usually martyr themselves.

You gambled not only your life, but with the life of every subsequent partner you've ever slept with.

You appear to have gambled and won. You were lucky, by far the bigger percentage aren't so lucky.

An ex of mine was diagnosed a few years ago now. He was 20 at the time and thought his world was coming to an end.

Im not going to rant and be judgemental about your behaviour, but unprotected sex outside of a monogamous relationship is just irresponsible and stupid.

Just my view.

Please stop taking that risk and use condoms and dental dams. HIV isn't the only one that doesn't go away with medicines and you can catch stuff even if you only do oral sex.
