I'm currently trying to finish up book two of A Song of Ica and Fire (game of thrones series) also known as A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. I want to finish it so I can watch the HBO series but it may take me a while. Also studying for my certification exam :frown:

Zephyros Wrote:I'm reading Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury in English. It's quite hard for me to read - there are lots of unknown words and expressions, but I am not gonna give in. I am gonna look up every unknown word in dictionary Smile

I was about to write this, then saw that this account is self-deleted, but then I said "screw it, I'll do it anyway." Dandelion Wine is my all time favorite book. And I just read that Ray Bradbury died two days ago. I can't remember someone's death (someone I didn't know personally) affecting me so much. I haven't even read a lot of his other stuff, but that book had such a profound impact on me that I can barely talk about it to people without crying. I always meant to write to Mr. Bradbury to tell him what that book meant to me, but now... Oh, the regret (which is sort of what Dandelion Wine is about).

If you ever come back and read this, keep with it. It's pure poetry and beauty and innocence and lots of other good things this world has to offer. Read it with a dictionary, yes. That's the best way to expand your vocabulary and be able to fully appreciate the text.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Ray Bradbury, I've loved many of his books.

At the moment, however, I'm re-reading 1984 by George Orwell.
