I read about 6 books at the same time. The ones I'm concentrating on at the moment are 'Jesus of Nazareth' by Pope Benedict XVI, 'Religion for Atheists' by Alain de Botton and 'Growth into Manhood' by Alan Medinger. I've only just begun the first one, I'd thoroughly recommend the second but don't read the third - it's a Christian book about how to rid yourself of your homosexuality! (I started reading it because a friend recommended it. I'm continuing to read it because it's it's so ridiculous in places and makes me laugh!)

Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit - Jeanette Winterson.

Down and out in Paris and London by George Orwell. First Orwell book, very impressed by his writing style and the way he creates a way for the reader into the characters' minds.
New Irish Short Stories, edited by Joseph O'Connor. A good collection, discovering Irish writers for the first time.

The Burglar Who Liked To Quote Kipling - Lawrence Block
•
Changeling by Yasmine Gaelnorn
Nice blend of romance and urban fantasy with a focus on the Fae of Arcadia...heady stuff...bit of a focus on the ladies romance wise, but enough male content to keep this gay boy interested.

Just finished my yearly reading of the LOTR....on to some bland stuff!
