What book are you reading now?
My father sent me It's Your Ship by Captain D. Michael Abrashoff. He mentioned it was worth reading so I will give it a try tomorrow. Has anyone heard of or read this book?

A Human Being Died That Night by Pumbla Gobodo-Madikizela. It's about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in post-apartheid South Africa. I'm reading it for a class and it is really fantastic. It centers around a man named Eugene De Kock who was basically a hitman/army general who killed anti-apartheid activists to maintain apartheid for decades. He is now serving two life sentences. The author is a black South African psychologist who was a member of the TRC and the book is basically about her interviewing him to determine if he regrets the horrible things de Kock had done. It's very insightful into the nature of institutional evil and the possibility of redemption. Very enlightening.
