why is schizophrenia a deal breaker for you ?

i'm just curious , because i know someone who is schizophrenic and as long as he's taking his meds he's pretty much totally "normal" (whatever that means) ~

Most of them are pretty obvious so I won't really bother to mention them.

I really can't handle people who want to know everything you've done, who you've done it with, where you've done it and why you've done it. To me that's just a sign of a control freak and it makes me very uncomfortable knowing the person doesn't trust me enough to NOT ask for several details hoping for some revealing contradiction. I despise that sort of person.

Being open-minded is also important. And with that I mean I want the person to be able to look at any suggestion I might make or an opinion I might have and think it through calmly and rationally without letting their emotions get ahead of them. This seems to be a very rare quality.

Its not really a deal breaker, but its kind of a turn off....

People who just cannot be bothered, in any way, shape, or form, see things from a different persepective.
Even if you offer up facts, they refuse to see the truth, the facts, or anything thats right in front of their face.

Ive had a couple of friends like that.
Ive been accused of this, but that was "back when".
I have learned to see things from different perspectives now.
But Im talking about people who will not EVER take the step out of their own little world, to see whats going on. My sister is one of these people.

Whats the saying about talking to people like this?
"Its like banging your head against a wall"?

I can't believe you said that Sad you're implying it's me aren't you? I just have a lot of other things to deal with right now and here you go dropping a bomb like that on me. "Hey let's turn SolemnBoy into a scapegoat, we can blame him for everything!". How could you disappoint me like this, breaking my heart in the process? Sad

Solemnboy your not a scapegoat... I hope.
My biggest deal breaker is when they begin to think too highly of themselves.
