I'm proud to say that my country (Portugal) was one of the first nations in the world to legalise gay marriage. Adoption by gay couples is not legal yet but we'll get there soon.

And it's one of the very catholic countries, right? Proof that religion is just a pretext of hatred for those who want and not hatred in itself.

Love Portugal, I lived in Cascais for 4 years in the 90's.

Like I said, adoption is not yet entirely legal here but the Portuguese Parliament has just legalised co-parent adoption by gay couples. Another important step towards the end of discrimination.
