We should be thinking about the poor solider who lost his life on our streets. Also our thoughts should be with his family and friends.

Of course it's tragic and I don't mean to be disrespectful in any way... but the thought of mourning one person's death specifically when hundreds of thousands of people die every day just because the media told us to, disturbs me.

Solemnboy, i hear what your saying, i thought that too, but heres some points.

- he was beheaded in broad daylight behind a junior school.
- the attackers did not try to get away, they wanted suicide by police shooting.
- it wasnt simply a hate crime, it was an act of religous terror- a statement
- it raises questions about the radicalisation of young british muslims, and how many have "these thoughts"
- theres also questions of why we allow hate-filled rhetoric to go on, and even pay there benefits (like that hooked-hand cleric, who we cant get rid of due to insane human rights laws)

let me ask you, would the islam holy law respect us.

Sharia, the islam holy law would not respect us. You would probably be stoned or beaten to death. Like what goes on where this law is official. Muslims still try to enforce it wherever they go in great numbers

Okay! So the first 3 posts are irrelevant. Since my criticism was in regard to some members insulting ALL muslims for the actions of a very small minority, circumstances relating to that specific crime are out of place. Regardless of how extreme it is, it doesn't change the fact that it was still carried out by a few individuals and therefore only serves to discredit the perpetrators, not people of similar faith.

Point number 4 is more valid but once again, it's safe to say that we're dealing with extreme minorities here. Of course we need to fight islamic fundamentalism, nobody is questioning that statement. The problem is that islamic fundamentalists are very few compared to regular, peaceful muslims.

As for point 5, hateful rhetorics comes from all sides, in different degrees of disguise.

Another point I need to make is that respect needs to be mutual. You mentioned earlier that you don't want people disrespecting your country and whatnot. Respect is something you deserve, and there's no way you can demand respect from a muslim after having called muslims "a race of extremists". Do you think they owe you any kind of respect after you've made statements like that?

Ok the cameras go out and ask regular young muslim what he thinks... "um err umm i can sort of see where there coming from" he says it like someone got a kick.

you’ve made point again and again, that some muslims are not all muslims, and i agreed the first time, let me say, i do not condone violence, i hate it, if i see it, i want desperatly for it to stop, whoever its being commited against, i have too much empathy for people, so this is all not some thinly-disguised hate rhetoric, im just concerned, its hard to explain, but i feel something should be done. Just now a muslim was talking very passionatly on tele, he said there should be more muslim voices to counter-act the extremist voices, and that "extremist talk" should be made unfashionable, well i can agree with that, i do not want to see any people victimised, the fact that some mosques have been attacked makes me very sad, i would never associate with someone on that mindset.

Yes islam is a race.of extremists

We have been tolerant and let a race of extremists that are intolerant take over our countries and demand respect or be killed.

Look, these two things that were said are what I've been arguing against. You both claim to dislike fundamentalists only and have no problems with regular muslims, yet this is exactly what you said. That is why I've been so annoyed by all this. I'm getting sort of tired of arguing about it though.
