I just prefer the printed page. I can take it off the shelf, read it when I want, keep it for years and years and years because there is no "upgrade". There are no batteries to worry about in my books. If I drop one, it doesnt break. If my book is damaged or stolen, it is cheap to replace. I can get my book wet, and it can be dried off, unlike an ebook that can be damaged beyond repair.....and speaking of which, a book can easily be repaired.
I can share my book and not go all "psycho" cause someone isnt returning my electronic device.
Some books are very decorative and give "sophistication" to the simplest of decor/taste. ebooks do not.
Its easier and cheaper to give books as gifts, than electronic devices.

I like paperbacks, the feel of the book in your hands and the turning of the pages. You can't turn the pages with an e reader.

Ebooks are ok, I read them a lot, but there is something in real books. If I have to choose between ebook and a real book, the real book wins.

As a book fanatic, physical printed books are preferable.
Two years ago my bf got me a kindle as a present and although I use it a lot it will never replace print.
I love the smell of books. As Ray Bradbury said in Farenheit 451 "Do you know that books smell like nutmeg or some spice from a foreign land?" And I have to agree with this. The smell of books: old and new give me a high which I cannot explain.
This morning I received a hardcover copy of Stephen King's IT (note - hardcover) as there are some books which I value so much that I need it not only in physical form but bound for serious and repeated reading (my paperback version is in such a dreadful state)
Also curled up near a fireplace with a kindle just doesn't feel the same when it's cold outside.

As a regular international traveler, including long haul flights, I purchased the original Kindle about 4 years ago and haven't looked back since!
Want to find the latest bestseller in the middle of Africa/Japan, in English? You can travel for hours to find a bookstore that stocks it, or you can download it in about 20 seconds from the Amazon store, from the comfort of your armchair. I know what I'd rather do :-)
Analogue books will always have their place, but they have had their day.

I bought e-book before. I prefer paper books.
I like to touch and flip one page to another. I also enjoy seeing my collection of books on shelves. I can exchange my books with my friends and donate old ones to a hospital library.

I prefer everything digital usually and books are no different. Mainly because when out and about I don't have to carry two books if there's a series and I'm near the end etc. It's convenience. When I went away last year I bought, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who played with Fire, and the Girl who kicked the hornet's nest to read. All three would have taken up so much space in my luggage whereas my kindle was small and slim.
