#21
I had a coworker discribe the first one to me (despite my protests to not want to know). It left be quit disturbed for the rest of the day. And they made a second one? *shudder*

I've only seen the first one... wasn't aware of any others...

Besides the horrible acting, and cliche' setting, I found it amusing!

Funny stuff!

I can appreciate the allure of cult classics.

I always got the impression that the Human Centipede movies were sort of like Hostel with an "oooh look i'm so brutal and edgy" approach when in actuality it isn't all that extreme. But I haven't seen it so I don't know.

Wait... both?
There was more than one!? Scared
I remember dating a guy who used to love watching weird movies like that, but he never managed to get me to watch them with him.
His description of the *shudder-as-I-say-it* first Human Centipede movie was bad enough.

And I didn't have any eye-bleach handy for afterwards.

Though, I'll admit, didn't watch it so don't really know if the impression he gave me was right... but if it was, ugh! Sick
What cause would they have for a sequel? xD

I enjoyed them both. The second one was a lot more shocking and gross. But I enjoy these types of movies. Saw was definitely better but I love watching all types of horror movies from paranormal to gore so I watch all the ones I come across.

Just think though.........30 years from now these gross and disgusting films may be seen as "classic B" horror movies.

They DO need to change the category of these kinds of movies from horror to "disturbed", and rated DX for disgustingly Xrated. They arent horror movies in ANY sense of the word. Just like the Friday the 13th movies, just "slice and dice" flicks, nothing more to them than that.

Nightmare on Elm Street had an actual character, which made the series entertaining, not just gross.
There was also the slight psychological factor and the surprise factor in the original series of movies.

But like I said before, I prefer the Saw series. More like the Alfred Hitchcock of gore movies. Great stuff.

Completely agree. I think these types of movie use the term "horror" too loosely. There's trying to scare people, and there's trying to disgust them. The two are very different things, yet they often seem bundled together to make it easy.

Nightmare on Elm Street and Saw are definitely highlights of the genre IMHO Smile
