what's wrong with being part of a country but wanting to keep your culture / heritage ?
and i know plenty of muslim people who were born in britain , as were their parents . so they are also "born and bred british men and women"
as you have already been told , islam is a religion not a country.

So because they're a minority they're not allowed to be represented on network television? Is Channel 4 just supposed to pretend that they don't exist, because they should only be allowed to express their religion on their own channels?
By that logic, gays should be taken out the soaps, and their presence erased off basic television in general - because after all, we have a few dedicated channels too. And not everyone is supportive of us, so why should ANYONE have the right to see us, or hear our values?
And I suppose this integration you speak of would be changing their religion, changing who they are, and being like everyone else because certain people don't like it?

There is a lot wrong when they try to introduce their own laws, when they chase British people out the streets with knives and declare them Muslim only areas.
When they walk the streets putting up posters decaring London is renamed 'Londonistan'
When they refuse to speak the Queens English, or work for a white person, the list goes on.
If I moved to Saudi Arabia, I would respect their laws and traditions, when they move here, I expect the same courtesy.

again , the muslims who do that are a small minority of muslims . and , actually , i wouldn't want to put extremist idiots in the same category as anyone .
and yes , it is still a small minority if we're just talking about the UK. there are far more muslims in this country than the ones who act like idiots and give all of islam a bad name.

The total prison population is 40% Muslim, yes that's a tiny minority.
