Green lasers

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]That's precisely the point, theynhave so many other things on their minds that they just wave those green lasers around carelessly and don't think who they might be hitting.

In the same note you can say pens should be ban as you could put it into someones eye.

I was out riding once when one of a group of scallies shon a red laser pointer in my face and at the horses.

Nothing serious happened although the consequences could have been far worse.

What is their proper purpose anyway? I never see anyone using them for anything practical.

I've seen them used for presentations to point at things, hence laser "pointer"

What's wrong with fingers for pointing.

I've always found mine very usefull, especuially for pointing. In fact you'd almost think they'd been invented for the purpose!

Dark rooms and visibility. They show up very well when a projector is in use and don't have a big arm that gets in the way. I'm not saying that laser pointers are the way to go for all presentations, but there is a purpose for them.

Laser pointer are extremely useful for teaching when trying to attract kids attention to a specific point of a picture or map. I have used red, green and purple laser pointers when teaching. Like all things in life people need to exercise common sense. I never shone it in someone's eyes.

PS: My head won't fit in the tray of a Bluray player.

Yes but when you can mod the laser to have enough power to pop 100 balloons, imagine what having it shone into your eye would do
