New Computer with Windows 8

pellaz Wrote:your offer could make you popular tho personally gotten past Microsoft a while back. Nice if you were with Apple in Canada. Some times a second opinion on osx/Linux would be nice.

I am a real IT my friend I work with Mainframes, Enterprise Class Network Component and Cluster Farms... Mac although a nice little personal computer aren't made for business process... and Linux there's so many distro of them that offering help is like opening a can of worms. I know you may hate Microsoft but just understand that I run a personal network and surprise surprise I have no anti virus not that I can't install one and it has been running for many years without... so who's the problem? Microsoft or the guy sitting on the chair?

See I believe that a little knowledge of everything is good to have... Microsoft is still and will remain for a long time the software use by multinationals that keeps on making billions of dollars with it... so is it that bad of a software? Linux is fine because it's free but trust me I did have some major problems with Linux that were similar to those encounters on Microsoft. Mac is just cute LOL.

Youtube and websites are your best bet for learning windows 8.

But as it happened when vista was released (and I stuck with XP till there was no support) the only answers you will get from me is to wipe the computer and go buy Windows-7.

I like Windows 7, it is self sufficient enough and easy to use (why I don't run linux) and yet is more open and understandable to someone that grew up with basic looking windows.

I just got a new laptop with Win8.

After a few days of using it (And looking up some answers to questions online about it), I became pretty comfortable with it, overall. I actually kind of like it.

I do not like Windows 8 but I have not used it that much. I am sure after I got use to it, that it would be ok but I will remain with Windows 7 for as long as I can lol

I really liked Windows 7. I've heard Windows 8 is built on Windows 7.

Windows 8 does take some time to get used to, but I believe many of the complaints I've read online about it are generally unfounded.

It's a nice, clean OS so far, in my opinion.

It's probably worth noting that it only shines with a touch-screen, from what I know anyway.

I would probably get use to it after awhile. As long as it is nothing like Vista I am willing to try it out. When I get my new computer it will most likely have Windows 8 so we shall see. Big Grin
