Yeah, it's satire, though I think in this case it's actually truer than what you'd find on CNN!

I think that she just wants attention! Usually people like that its what they want, she is most likely an attention whore and I can honestly see her working the stripper pole in about ten years! I can't wait, lol

I'm a fan of Todd in the Shadows who does pop song reviews (usually reviewing bad ones) and he of course did "We Can't Stop". He mentioned that one ironic thing about the song is that it sounds very sad, morose, and gloomy despite it being about partying. Perhaps, maybe, the song is actually supposed to be a sad story about a girl who had a troubling childhood. She never had the chance to be free and have fun, so she's going completely overboard now that she finally has that freedom. Acting slutty, doing drugs, partying like crazy, doing damage to herself. And she literally "CAN'T STOP" and "WON'T STOP".

There are many other singers out there that act the same as she does. Some even worse.
I mean, like Lady Gaga goes out pretty much naked.
I feel that if we didn't associate Miley with Disney then we wouldn't have such a low opinion of her now. She'd just be another scandally clad teen singer, rather than Hannah Montana gone pornstar.
I do believe that she needs to take a step back though.

If one resorts to lowbrow antics, they'd better have something of substance underneath. Otherwise all they are doing is pandering for cheap money, which is of no value to any economy worth having.
It's sad when trashy behavior is rewarded more than people who study for STEM positions only to be bombarded with news articles about those positions being shipped out of the country due to "high cost". And only those who haven't done work in STEM fields blindly side with it.
