Do you consider Arkansas to be a Southern state?

It seceded from the union, so historically it's Southern.

Culturally, it's Southern.

But a lot of people say that Arkansas is in the Midwest. It confuses me.

I live here. To me, Arkansas is 100% Southern. But some people don't seem to think so.

I do think of Arkansas as Southern but I am just anxious because I don't want it to be considered midwestern
