Best Thing That Happened To You Today?
Yeah, It's only a short break this time Matty, the last one was 33 days Smile

Even after this break I will still have 12 weeks of paid leave still up my sleeve...not to mention I have accrued over 600 hours of paid sick leave because I have only used 14 hours sick leave in 11 years.

You keep popping randomly in random posts that I am interested in, saying shit I would say and carrying on like a right royal prat...are you my conscience or something?

you are driving me fucking bonkers.

Yes, I am your conscience. I have discovered how to become my own entity and left the husk of a dingo dropping that is you.

Now shut up and do as I say!!!!

No, We get was is called paid leave which is accrued annually at the rate of 4 weeks per year based on the average fulltime work week of 40 hours a week, but in reality most of us doo more than 40 hours.

Is that a national thing, or is this just a company thing?

In America, you usually have to work a year or two before you get one weeks worth of vacation time/time off. And most places give you one week a year, and you cannot roll them over for more than 4 years.

I think I might like Australia better....as far as working benefits goes.

It nation wide, it's law.

Work full time = 4 weeks paid annual leave per annum
Work permanent part-time = paid annual leave accrued pro-rata to hours work per annum
Work casual = no paid annual leave.
