Are you Diabetic?
#11
Not there yet, but it's probably coming in about 10-15 years. I have it on both sides of my family, and I get my blood tested for other reasons, so I know the sugar level is pushing up with time...

MisterTinkles Wrote:Diabetic....its a scary word for a lot of people. I know it was for me. But low and behold, I was diagnosed as "diabetic" in 2009. I have Type 2 diabetes, I have to take pills everyday.

Its a bitch for me, because I have to exercise MORE and eat LESS, and stay off sugars and starches....which pretty much leaves me with "rabbit food".

Its a hard adjustment, but its something you have to do.

Have you tried coconut oil to control your blood sugar?

I'm non insulin dependent diabetic and my blood sugar is usually a manageable 130 so I was shocked a few months ago when it spiked at 168. My doctor wanted to put me on a different medication but I refused. I started being very strict with my diet, exercised a minimum of one hour a day and took one tablespoon of organic, cold pressed coconut oil with my breakfast. It's completely tasteless.

Three months later my last blood test showed my glucose count at 134. I hope to get it down below that still.

And there are many more. Just type "coconut oil diabetes" in to Google and you'll get many more links
